The Love Family Community Hub was created to support connection, education, practical support and community use.
Our mission is to nurture spiritual growth, foster meaningful connection, and serve the community through charitable, educational, outreach, and fellowship activities, including providing space and support for nonprofit and community-serving programs.
Space for programs, services and community use.
Located at 404 South Arlington St in Akron, the building offers more than 28,000 square feet, including a sanctuary with balcony, auditorium, gymnasium, commercial kitchen, cafeteria, meeting and classroom space, offices, and additional flexible-use areas.
We welcome connections with local nonprofits, service providers, educators, and community organizations interested in collaboration, future use of the space, or sharing ideas and resources.
A Century at 404 South Arlington.
Construction of the building began in 1923, and in 1925 it opened as Arlington Street United Brethren Church. For the next forty years, the congregation worshiped and carried out its ministry here.
In 1965, during the Civil Rights era, the building became home to Greater Bethel Baptist Church, a Black Baptist congregation. Greater Bethel remained at 404 South Arlington for nearly six decades. Its years here included worship, community programs, service, and documented civil-rights-era organizing.
In 2025, the property was acquired, and The Love Family Community Hub began preparing it for future nonprofit and community-serving use.
